The City of Brighton has opened its fifth annual Name that Snowplow contest! Elementary school students who reside in Brighton are invited to submit their best and most creative name ideas for six of the city’s snowplows for the 2025-2026 snow season.  

Students in grades K-5 can submit their best names at www.brightonco.gov/snowplowcontest by Nov. 9. Winners will have an opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named and be recognized at a Brighton City Council meeting.  

Additionally, contest winners will have an opportunity to ride in the City’s annual Festival of Lights parade on Saturday, Dec. 13 (weather permitting).  

Winners will be notified by Nov. 20.
