Performance & Leadership Academy

The Brighton Performance & Leadership Academy is excited to announce the launch of Spark! Events. Please check out this new facilitation opportunity here.

Welcome to Brighton's Leadership and Performance Academy!  This award-winning program teaches participants LEAN skills for identifying, analyzing, and solving pain points in their day-to-day work.  It also empowers participants to lead from any seat, build winning teams, and deliver exceptional customer service both internal and external. Combined, these skills reinforce Brighton's core values and promote a positive culture. Graduates will receive their black belt in process improvement. To date, students in the Academy have used their tools from this course to implement more than 50 projects yielding $1.1m in projected annual savings for the City of Brighton.

Why Performance and Leadership Academy?

The Brighton Performance and Leadership Academy is the only training of its type that combines the hard skills and tools of Lean and other process improvement techniques with the culture and organizational development skills necessary to set your organization up for success. Our approach recognizes that for these tools to be used to their fullest an organization must also have a culture that embraces and values innovation. As such, we provide tools, real-world examples, and more so students can take back their knowledge and transform their work, their teams, and their community. We are so committed to bettering the local government profession one student at a time that we even offer these trainings free to our employees and at a deeply discounted cost for external entities so as to minimize the barriers you face in establishing a strong and sustainable process improvement mindset for your team.
