Welcome to the City of Brighton's first ever Disc Golf Course located at Benedict Park.

Disc golf (sometimes called Frisbee Golf) is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target.  According to the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA).  "The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.

DISC GOLF COURSE RULES
Object: Have fun and play the course from beginning to end in the fewest throws at or under the suggested par.

TEE OFF:
Tee throws must be released from the concrete tee pad.

THROWING ORDER:
Lowest score on the previous hole tees first.  After the tee-off, the player whose lie is further from the target throws first.

FAIRWAY THROWS:
Must be made from on the line.  A run-up and follow through is permitted.

PUTT:
Within 10 yards of the target player may not step past the lie when attempting a putt throw.

COMPLETION OF HOLE:
The hole is complete when the disc is in the basket or supported by the chains.

OUT OF BOUNDS:
A throw that lands out of bounds must be played from the point where the disc went out(1 throw penalty).  Out of bounds areas include: Fulton Ditch, playgrounds, gazebo areas, sculptures and concrete trails.

COURTESY:
Do not throw until players or park users ahead of you are out of range.  Trail users have the right of way.

PAR:
The ideal number of throws to complete a hole.
