The City of Brighton will host a 4th of July Community Celebration from 4 – 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 4 at Carmichael Park, located just behind Brighton City Hall, 500 S. 4th Ave.
This year’s celebration will feature free activities for children as well as a variety of food vendors.
DJ Tidalwave will kick off the musical entertainment at 5 p.m. consisting of interactive activities, group dancing and more.
Soul School, a high energy dance band, will begin at 7 p.m. Soul School’s performance will feature a vast repertoire of music which includes Golden Oldies, Beach, Motown, County, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Rhythm and Blues, and Contemporary. The group will satisfy all musical tastes, from tight harmonious vocals and smooth jazz to an all-out dance party.
Residents are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, water, etc.
