The Office of Youth Services was created when the City Council and key staff created a steering committee to address the growing needs of Brighton’s children, youth and families in 2004.
Completed in 2007, Master Plan on Youth, Education, and Families, City Council made a commitment to increase its focus, efforts, and resources on ensuring that the necessary services, supports, and opportunities are available to every child, young person, and family living in Brighton.
The Youth Services office plays an integral role in researching and developing programs for youth in Brighton, including, but not limited to, The City of Brighton Image Summit, The Growing Grads Initiatives, the Brighton Youth Commission and the Youth Corps Volunteers.
