The Brighton Recreation Center will hold its annual overnight summer Camp Out on Saturday, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 10 at Barr Lake State Park (13401 Picadilly Road).
This event invites campers, family and friends of all ages to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon and evening packed with outdoor and nature-themed activities, vendors and more. Campers can begin setting up their tents as early as 2 p.m. on Aug. 9. A total of 50 tent spaces are available, with tents available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Fishing (Participants age 16+ must have a valid fishing license)
- Archery
- Canoeing & Kayaking
- S’mores by the Campfire
Food will be available for purchase from a local food truck, and attendees are welcome to bring their own grill. Stationary charcoal grills will also be available at the campground (first-come, first-served).
Event Pricing:
- $20 per tent
- $10 park entry fee (charged by Barr Lake State Park)
Important Notes:
- Motorhomes and towable RVs are not permitted
- Alcohol is prohibited
- Curfew is at 10 p.m.
