The City of Brighton is proud to be the first municipality in Colorado to participate with Drive Clean Colorado in the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) Charging Smart program. The Charging Smart program assists local governments in setting and achieving equitable and impactful electric vehicle (EV) readiness goals.
Municipalities such as the City of Brighton play an important role in establishing policies, procedures, and programs that impact the deployment of electric vehicle charging equipment in communities. By expediting the installation of EV charging stations, Brighton is helping to make EV charging more accessible for residents and businesses.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Charging Smart offers free technical assistance to help local governments adopt policies, practices, and incentives that exemplify recognized best practices for enabling efficient and equitable EV charger expansion.
