Unofficial results from the December 5, 2023 special mail ballot run-off election show Lloyd Worth has won the seat for City of Brighton Ward 4 Council Member with 549 votes. Candidate Kathryn LeDonne had a total of 500 votes. Per Article II, Section 3.6 of the city charter, the candidate with the highest number of votes wins the run-off election.
Since no candidate for Ward 4 received a majority of the votes cast in the November 7, 2023 election, per the city charter, a run-off election was required for the two candidates with the highest number of votes (Kathryn LeDonne and Lloyd Worth).
Council Member-elect Worth and other newly elected city council members will be sworn in at the January 2, 2024 City Council meeting to be held at 6 p.m. at the Armory Performing Arts Center (300 Strong Street, Brighton).
