Friday, 4:55 p.m. - Emergency Water Main Repair Notice: At approximately 11:15 a.m., the City of Brighton experienced a large water main break at the intersection of North 7th Avenue and 168th Avenue. Water service has been shut off in this area due to necessary repairs to the water distribution system. Repairs will be made as quickly as possible. Service may be interrupted for an extended period of time. After we complete repairs, we will flush the water mains in your area. Saturday, 7:30 a.m. - Emergency Water Main Repair Update: Crews have repaired the water main break and water has been restored to those in the affected area. However, work is continuing in the area. Customers with compromised immune systems, infants, young children, and elderly may want to still consider the temporary use of bottled water for drinking, brushing teeth, and food preparation until the City posts that the entire situation has been resolved. Bottled water is available at Brighton Police Department from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. today.
Sunday, 6/11/23, 11:45 a.m.: The City has completed extensive maintenance and testing of the water system following a large water main break on Friday. All residents in the affected area can return to using the water as they normally would. Please be advised that cleanup of sediment and debris will continue in the area of North 7th Avenue and 168 Avenue for the next several days.
