The Brighton community is invited to attend the opening reception for the City’s Eye for Art 2026 Winter Showcase on Friday, Jan. 23 from 5:30-7 p.m. at City Hall (500 S. 4th Avenue). Refreshments will be provided, and attendees may RSVP here.
The Winter Showcase features art pieces in vibrant oils, acrylics, inks, watercolors, graphite/color pencil, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and jewelry. The art will be on display beginning Tuesday, Jan. 20 at City Hall and on the City of Brighton's Eye for Art website — and is available for purchase (excluding art labeled “NFS”).
Many of the featured artists are scheduled to attend the reception. The 35 featured artists include Sarah Bennett, Karen Borthick, Judy Brown, Edie Dafoe, Gina De Gorna, Keri Dillingham, Mona Fansher, Lili Floyd, Ed Hansen, Kathy Hansen, Emily Helsel, Andrea Hofmeister, Ray Holland, Karen M. Kloberdans, Tom Koppel, Todd Kovach, G. Lewis McLeod, Alfredo Locht Miro, Sandie Mackenzie, Jeanette Martinez, MJ McCafferty, Kameron Price, Zachary Reece, Carra Riley, Celise Rogers, Eric Sanders, Kim Shaklee, Breahna Shogren, Anne Shopp, Kelly Smith, Maru Steelman, David Thoutt, Ann Vargas, Susie Wheeler, and Grace Yu.
