To help young adults prepare to enter the workforce, the City of Brighton’s Youth Services will be hosting its annual Growing Grads Summer Job Launch on Saturday, Feb. 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Armory Performing Arts Center, located at 300 Strong Street.
This event is a great opportunity for youth interested in interning or working for the City of Brighton during the summer to build their resume, get tips and tricks for obtaining summer jobs, and find out more about what positions the city has to offer over the summer.
In-person attendance for the full day at the summer job launch is required to be eligible for a possible paid summer internship with the city.
The paid internship program gives participants ages 14-21 the opportunity to work for various city departments for 15-20 hours per week for eight weeks. In addition to participation at their work site, interns attend weekly professional development classes hosted by Brighton Youth Services.
Registration is required for the Summer Job Launch at brightonco.gov/summerjobs and space is limited.
The deadline to RSVP is Feb. 20, 2026. Early registration is encouraged. Registration may close early if capacity is reached before the deadline.
Volunteers are needed to help with the job launch. To sign-up to volunteer, click here.
