The City of Brighton is excited to announce that the Brighton Recreation Center aquatics area will reopen this Saturday, Jan. 25. However, we are sorry to share that due to construction delays, the grand opening of our brand-new waterslide has been postponed by one week.
Mark your calendars and join us for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the slide, The Brighton Cyclone, on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 10:15 a.m.
The name of our new slide was selected by Brighton City Council on Jan. 7 and was creatively submitted by Willow Modica, a fifth grader at Foundations Academy. As a special honor, Willow will be the first person to go down the slide at the grand opening. Thank you for your patience — we can’t wait to celebrate with you soon!
