The City of Brighton’s annual Fourth of July festival will be held on Thursday, July 4 at 5 p.m. at Carmichael Park (650 E. Southern Street). The evening will feature live entertainment,starting with DJ Chris, followed by a headliner performance by Soul School at 7 p.m. Once the concert concludes, attendees can view one of the largest fireworks displays in the region.
The event will include children’s activities, including free face painting and a bubble tower.Food will be available for purchase through mobile vendors. During the event, the Greater Brighton Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau will unveil its "Land That I Love" mural at 3:30 p.m. on the main stage. In March 2023, the Brighton Chamber partnered with the Brighton Historic Preservation Commission, Brighton Urban Renewal Authority, Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and the City of Brighton to bring artist Eric Dowdle to Brighton to create a unique mural that has been transformed into puzzles.
