To help young adults prepare to enter the workforce, the City of Brighton’s Youth Services will be hosting its annual Growing Grads Summer Job Launch on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.at the Armory Performing Arts Center, located at 300 Strong St.
This event is a great opportunity for youth interested in interning or working for the City of Brighton during the summer to build their resume, get tips and tricks for obtaining summer jobs, and find out more about what positions the city has to offer over the summer.
Attendance at the Summer Job Launch is required to be eligible for a possible paid summer internship with the City.
The paid internship program gives participants ages 14-21 the opportunity to work for various City departments for 15-20 hours per week for eight weeks. In addition to participation at their work site, interns attend weekly professional development classes hosted by Brighton Youth Services.
The deadline to RSVP is February 22, 2024
