Crews are nearing the completion of storm sewer pipe installations north of 27th Avenue and will be approaching Bridge Street in the coming week. As the project team gets closer to the roadway, drivers will begin to see travel impacts between 22nd and 27th Avenue. Travelers can expect single alternating lane closures in both directions, with temporary shifts into the center lane during this time.
- Additionally, later next week crews will be potholing and saw cutting to make preparations for a waterline tie-in at the Telluride and Bridge Street intersection. While this work is taking place, the north side and south side of Telluride Street will experience alternating closures with detour routes in place. Bridge Street will remain open to thru-traffic during this time.
- The project team will be performing tree removal work and other landscape clearing operations along the project corridor next week. Please do not walk through or approach areas where tree removals are taking place for your personal safety.
- Material trucks will continue to enter and exit the roadway within the project zone, so drivers are encouraged to slow down, watch for workers and equipment, and leave plenty of space in between vehicles. Please be mindful and exercise extreme caution when traveling through construction areas.
- After widening operations begin, motorists will start to see more permanent traffic realignments, lane closures and reduced driving speeds within the project work zone.
