City of Brighton residents are invited to participate in the “Move with the Mayor” walk at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Carmichael Park (650 E. Southern Street). Residents should meet at the park’s east shelter. Attendees will be able to walk around the park with Mayor Gregory Mills and work up an appetite for the Sazón Food Festival, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

The Sazón Food Festival, hosted by the Hispanic Restaurant Association, will offer a unique food experience that includes celebrity chefs, food trucks, drinks, music and culture. 

Move with the Mayor is a national initiative that works with mayors across the country. Mayors encourage their communities to be physically active to lower their chances of heart disease and its risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
