The Brighton Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred on April 23rd at approximately 6:20 p.m. in the 100 block of N. 7th Ave. Responding officers found two adults in the alley behind a residence, both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a dark colored, older model sedan fleeing the area. While no arrests have been made at this time, investigators believe this is an isolated incident, and there is not an ongoing danger to the community.
The victim’s names are being withheld pending positive identification by the Adams County Coroner’s Office. This investigation remains ongoing and is still in the very early stages, no additional details will be released at this time.
