Crews have started grubbing the site and working on framing the new footers that will form the foundation for the new expanded areas.
Inside the building, partitions have been installed to separate areas undergoing demolition, HVAC upgrades, and the installation of the new second-floor cycling studio.
In the coming weeks, the relocation of the second-floor egress is expected to take place between March 24th and March 28th, which will prepare the site for vertical construction. This step will set the stage for the formation of the new Rogue Studio and the downstairs weight room.
Looking ahead, the Brighton Recreation Center will undergo a full facility closure from May 17 to June 2, 2025. This closure will accommodate the installation of a new rooftop unit and the upgrade of the facility’s fire alarm system, two critical projects that are essential to the overall expansion.
