The Brighton Police Department is seeking help from the community to identify a male and a female wanted for robbing Colorado Credit Union, located at 2380 E. Bridge St., on Monday, May 8. Police responded to the area after receiving a call for a robbery in progress around 1:45 p.m.

Officers learned that the female suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The bank employee gave the cash to the female and they immediately left the area. Upon further investigation officers received a description of the suspect vehicle, which was quickly located driving westbound on Bridge Street.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle eluded. A short pursuit took place and was terminated when the suspect reached dangerous speeds just before leaving Brighton’s jurisdiction. The vehicle was later recovered unoccupied in Fort Lupton around 4:10 p.m.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-3 white female in her 20’s. She was wearing a white backward ball cap, sunglasses, white shirt underneath a flannel shirt, and black sweatpants. The male was described as a 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 white male with a slim build. He is also described as being in his 20’s, and he was wearing a black mask with a backpack, white shirt and black sweatpants. The male was seen leaving the area with the female.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Brighton Police Department and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Brighton Police Department at 303-655-8740 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
