Youth ages 13-18 can become a part of the Brighton Youth Commission through an application and interview process that takes place in May each year. Youth ages 10 and up can also become a part of the Brighton Youth Corps at any time of the year as long as they submit an application and commit to four hours of community service per month.
The Brighton Youth Commissioners are selected based on leadership, commitment, and desire to make an impact in their community. The Brighton Youth Commissioners meet twice a month, serve at community events, and host special service projects throughout the year.
Applications to apply for the 2024-2025 BYC term will be available in May of 2024.
In the meantime, we encourage you to start attending BYC meetings which are the first and third Thursdays of the month. Meetings start at 5:30 p.m. and are located at Brighton City Hall.
We look forward to receiving your application!
