Electronic Recycling Events

Under Colorado law, residential and business electronics are banned from being disposed of in a landfill and must be recycled. Electronic devices should be kept out of landfills and properly recycled to recover materials and reduce the energy demands from mining and manufacturing. Electronics are made from valuable resources such as precious metals, copper, and engineered plastics, all of which require considerable energy to process and manufacture. Recycling electronics recovers valuable materials and as a results, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, saves energy, and saves resources by extracting fewer raw materials.

The City of Brighton holds an EcoEvent Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. to recycle electronics and shred paper. For full details, please visit the Brighton Eco Event & Recycling page.

Electronic waste can be recycled year-round at Veolia in Henderson, or at SustainAbility, Hard-To-Recycle Center in Broomfield

For more information about electronic waste please visit the State of Colorado website.
