Packet pickup will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 19 and 20, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Recreation Center. Packets WILL NOT contain your bib. Bibs will be available race day from 7 a.m.-8:29 a.m. Your bib is also your chip!

Our preschool age programs offer an opportunity for your child to interact with other children of the same age so they can enhance their social skills and communication skills in a fun, structured environment. It also introduces the concept of a more formalized setting with transition periods between activities and group interaction. Games, puzzles, crafts, songs, story time, show and tell and similar activities support age-appropriate learning skills. It is not a licensed program.Youth Department

Due to the volume of participants enrolled in our programs we do not have the means to contact you once you have registered for an activity. Please be sure to include such events in your caldendar. We offer a wide variety of activities and classes for both age groups and have divided them to make it easier to address. If you cannot find information under one section, please try the other as some programs have overlapping ages.

No, a gun will be provided at the shooting range for you. You may also bring your gun with you, ONLY to the range portion of the class with all the safety locks included.General Interest

There is no required age, although each person registered must be able to read, write and will be required to take a test to pass the class.General Interest

Saturday's class is an all day class and it will break for lunch. You are encouraged to bring your lunch, although there are several locations near by to go and get lunch. Sunday's class is broken into 2 parts and does not require a lunch.General Interest

Please call 303-655-2221 to discuss the possibility of getting your under aged child in a program. The age is determined by the instructor and in some cases there may be exceptions.

Materials are included in all General Interest Classes unless otherwise noted. Bob Ross class does require you to bring a roll of "viva" paper towels and clothes that can get paint on them for the class.General Interest

Yes, we ask that all parents attending the class that are not registered for the class please sit in the chairs provided to the side of the tables to accommodate the other participants who have registered for the class. Unless the parent has paid to take the class, the material is only available to each paid participant.General Interest

Drop-in Child Care

Drop-in Child Care
Drop-in Child Care provides supervised child care for children six months through seven years of age.

Child Care starts at $4.50 per visit. 10-visit and 20-visit punch cards are available for purchase.

Child Care was designed to help support the fitness classes and is offered during the high-use hours of the Fitness program. The service is offered Monday through Saturday mornings and Monday through Thursday evenings for ages six months through seven years.

Our Child Care is not licensed and parents must stay in the building in order to utilize its services. We also do not change diapers or prepare meals for children. If your child needs a diaper change while in our care, a staff member will contact you. The restroom by the Child Care room has a changing station.Drop-in Child Care

The Front Desk has a registration form and when the Child Care area is open, staff can also provide you with this form. Each child will need a separate form completed, as they are filed by age. Yes, Funshine is a State Licensed program and required by law to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the state. Therefore, all paperwork must be verified and submitted before your child can participate or attend the camp or camp activities.

Yes, state licensing requires our staff to get cleared through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the FBI and the TRAILS system. In addition, the City of Brighton runs a separate background check before we hire any staff.
