    As part of SPEAK Week, the Brighton Youth Commission will be hosting a Drive-In Movie Night on Friday, April 30. The Academy Award-winning film “Inside Out” will be featured at the Brighton Pavilions (the parking lot behind Fishtail Cuisine of India & Nepal). The event is free to the public, but registration is required. Reserve a spot at speak5k.org (registration opens at 5 p.m. on April 15).   2. Saplings & Seeds Earth Day Giveaway

    April 22, 2021, 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM @ City Hall

    To celebrate Earth Day and the upcoming Arbor Day, the City of Brighton will be giving away free saplings and planting seeds to Brighton residents on Thursday, April 22 outside City Hall (500 S. 4th Avenue). Distribution will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis (while supplies last). Saplings will be 4-8 inches long and will include Ponderosa Pines, Upright Junipers and Gamble Oaks (tree form). Seeds are courtesy of local nonprofit Brighton Shares The Harvest. Eligibility is for Brighton residents only. The City hopes the saplings and seeds serve as a reminder to protect the environment in our busy lives, including planting, upkeeping and preserving trees.

  6. Trash Bash Spring 2021

    The City of Brighton will once again offer its popular Trash Bash for Brighton residents in need of large item disposal. The drop-off program will take place in the spring on Friday, April 31 and Saturday, May 1 and in the fall on Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25. For both weekends, Trash Bash will take place from 9 - 5 p.m. at the Brighton Wastewater Treatment Facility located at 325 North Kuner Road (Brighton Street entrance). In addition, the City will provide pick-up service for the elderly or those with special needs on April 28 and 29 and Sept. 23 and 25. To request a pick-up, please call 303-655-2087.
