  2. About the Winter Market

    The City of Brighton is seeking artists and crafters to participate in a Winter Market during the city’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The arts and crafts “Winter Market” will be held from 2 - 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3 on South Main Street near the city’s Founders Plaza. 

    We welcome unique artists and crafters who exhibit handmade works of art. No resale, wholesale or direct sales are allowed. Seasonal art and crafts are preferred. Homemade food vendors are allowed as long as all Tri-County Health Department and state of Colorado guidelines have been met. 

    Artist applications will be accepted until November 25. The fee for a vendor space is $25. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited. Vendors must provide their own tent as well as tables and chairs if needed.

  3. Vendor Setup

    Each exhibitor will be assigned a 10’ X 10’ space on South Main Street, which will have a 1’ area on either side to be shared with neighboring booths for securing and tent access purposes only. Spaces are pre-assigned. Canopies or tents are the responsibility of each individual vendor. You must provide your own tables and chairs if needed. 

    Exhibitors must bring their own trash receptacle for their booth. Come prepared! Colorado weather can change quickly. 

  4. Deadline

    We look forward to working with you to make this year’s Tree Lighting Ceremony & Winter Market celebration the best ever! If you would like to participate, please fill out the following application form and return as soon as possible. The deadline is Nov. 25, 2022.

    Space is limited. Registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. 


  5. How much does it cost?
    • Vendor Fee: $25; 
      • Additional space of 10’ x 10’ = $25; Vendors are limited to reserving two spaces maximum. 
    • All vendors must have a business license issued by the City's Finance Department. Vendors who do not have a physical location in Brighton, will receive a one-time event license through the Winter Market 2022 Vendor Booth Submittal Form. If one-time licensees will be selling product, you will need a $50 sales tax deposit that can be refunded once the applicant files their tax return after the event.     • ONLY HOMEMADE ITEMS can be sold at the Winter Market. COMMERCIALLY MADE ITEMS FOR RESALE will not be allowed. If you are found to be selling commercial items, you will be asked to leave and will not be refunded your registration fee. 
    • Products sold at the Winter Market must match product descriptions and photos submitted in the application process. 
    • The Winter Market will not accept any vendors that sell, advertise, or promote obscene or illegal material or activities, including advocacy of unlawful action. 
    • The Winter Market will not accept any vendors that wish to fundraise, promote, or campaign for any political group, candidate, issue, or policy.

  12. If you selected "None of the Above" and you do not have a current City of Brighton business license, this application will serve to provide you with a one-time event license. A sales tax deposit may be required.

    If you do not have a physical location in Brighton, this application will serve to provide you with a one-time event license.   14. Electricity is not provided. Will you be bringing a generator?*

    Generators must be a whisper quiet. 

  15. Are you reserving an additional space?

    An additional space costs $25.

  16. Liability Limits *

    The City of Brighton is not responsible or liable for any damages, theft or loss of any booth or display equipment or the contents of any booth or display.  

  17. Important Information
    • Refunds: Refunds will only be issued if the City of Brighton cancels the event due to a state or local emergency order, health or safety concerns, or any other reasons deemed necessary be event organizers. 
    • No ShowsBooths not claimed by 1:30 PM on festival day may be reassigned. 
    • Waiting List: Space is limited, but a waiting list will be established in case of cancellations. Assignments are made on a first-come-first-served basis.
    • Confirmations: Parking rules, maps and other logistics will be mailed after Nov. 25, 2022.
  18. General Booth Guidelines

    Below are general guidelines for exhibitors participating in the Tree Lighting Ceremony Winter Market. 

    Terms & Conditions

    • ONLY HOMEMADE ITEMS can be sold at the Winter Market. COMMERCIALLY MADE ITEMS FOR RESALE will not be allowed. If you are found to be selling commercial items, you will be asked to leave and will not be refunded your registration fee. 
    • Products sold at the Winter Market must match product descriptions and photos submitted in the application process. 
    • The Winter Market will not accept any vendors that sell, advertise, or promote obscene or illegal material or activities, including advocacy of unlawful action. 
    • The Winter Market will not accept any vendors that wish to fundraise, promote, or campaign for any political group, candidate, issue, or policy. 
    • If the event is cancelled by the City of Brighton due to a state or local emergency order, health or safety concerns, or any other reason, vendors will receive a full refund of their vendor fees

    Recommendations for Happy Exhibiting

    • Take care to keep valuable or breakable items out of reach of children
    • Safeguard your items to prevent theft or damage
    • Remember when outdoors, conditions may change quickly.
    • Prepare for possibility of strong winds, cold, and snow 

    Safety Rules

    • Traffic and pedestrian safety is of utmost concern
    • Exhibitors must remain open until 6:30 PM – no dismantling until this hour 
    • Event may be shut down due to weather conditions for safety reasons 
    • No glass bottles are allowed on site                                                                                   

     Vendor Responsibilities 

    • Each exhibitor will be assigned a 10’ x 10’ space on grass, which will have a 1’ area on either side to be shared with neighboring booths for securing and tent access purposes only.   
    • If you need power, you must provide your own electricity source – must indicate your plans for a generator on Application Form
    • Canopies or tents are the responsibility of each individual vendor. Tables and chairs are not included with your booth fee. It is the responsibility of the vendor to bring any items needed within your space.
    • Provide adequate trash cans and trash bags to handle trash 
    • Remove and discard your own trash at roll-off area provided for this event.
    • Keep all goods and equipment within the assigned 10'x10' booth space—no expansion 
    • Exhibitors may not leave booth to solicit sales or distribute information 
    • Come prepared! Colorado weather can change quickly.

    Loading & Unloading Rules

    Your designated loading area will be in your confirmation packet. You will receive the packet after your complete application is processed. The packet also contains a parking pass.

    • Set up times: 12 - 1:30 PM Saturday 
    • Park in designated parking area
    • Display parking pass on dashboard at all times
    • Vehicles not allowed through blocked streets (wagons, dollies and carts accepted and encouraged)
    • Must clear all and trash from area including cardboard boxes.  Please leave area as you found it. 

     Important Note:

    • The City of Brighton reserves the right to place booths in most appropriate location.
    • The City of Brighton does not guarantee sales.
