The City of Brighton is celebrating Smart Irrigation Month by helping citizens save water, save money and see better results in their landscapes.
Smart Irrigation Month is a public awareness campaign to promote efficient water use. Focused on July, traditionally the month of peak demand for outdoor water use, the campaign highlights simple practices and innovative technologies to:
- Make maintaining green spaces easy and convenient.
- Minimize overwatering while keeping lawns, gardens and landscapes beautiful and healthy.
- Save money on utility bills.
- Help protect community water supplies for today and the future.
Property owners and managers tend to overwater, unintentionally wasting money every time they take out the hose or turn on the sprinklers. City of Brighton is celebrating Smart Irrigation Month by hosting a Smart Irrigation Seminar with the Adams County Colorado State University Extension Service on July 12 from 6-7 p.m. at the Eagle View Adult Center, 1150 Prairie Center Pkwy., Brighton.
This free seminar will focus on efficient water use in the landscape, covering a wide range of topics from irrigation technologies to drip irrigation installation and maintenance. Hands-on demonstrations and giveaways will also be featured. Registration is not required, but preferred. Sign up on Eventbrite:https://www.eventbrite.com/o/17362021324
