July events at the Brighton Recreation Center

July is here and that means summer is in full swing at the Brighton Recreation Center. All month long there are events schedules that are sure to fit everyone’s style.


Family Outdoor Bootcamp

Passes are still available for the July session of the Summer Family Outdoor Bootcamp. It’s not too late to start your summer routine and get into summer shape! Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for ages 8-18. Ages 8-14 are welcome with an adult. Class days and times are as follows:

  • Monday 7 a.m.
  • Tuesday 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday 8 a.m.
  • Thursday 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m.
  • Saturday 8 a.m.


H20 Fitness at the Oasis- Saturdays at 9:30 a.m.

The Brighton Oasis is now offering H20 Fitness classes on Saturday mornings at the Brighton Oasis, 1852 East Bromley Lane. Daily admission fee is required to attend. Ages 8-14 are welcome with an adult.


Flicks and Kicks Yoga – Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m.

Join the Recreation Center for some family yoga at before the showing of the Lion King at the Brighton Recreation Center Park. Yoga starts at 7 p.m. This event is appropriate for all ages.

We will have a limited number of mats. If you have your own, please bring it with you.


Summer Outdoor Yoga Series – Saturday, July 14 at 8 a.m.

Wake-up and enjoy that fresh summer morning air with this summer yoga class. Class will meet at the pavilions across the street from the Recreation Center. This class is free and appropriate for all ages.


Nutrition 101 – Wednesday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m.

The Brighton Recreation Center will be hosting a free nutrition seminar covering the basics of nutrition with Nutritionist Stephanie Ashby. Please join us in room 102 for the chance to up your health knowledge.

Group Fitness Instructor Training- Saturday, July 21 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Have you thought about wanting to become a Group Fitness Instructor but don’t know where to start? Join this free full-day of learning the basics of teaching group fitness classes. Register for free at the Brighton Recreation Center front desk.
