Brighton Youth Commission looking for adult members

BYS recruitment

The Brighton Youth Commission (BYC), is looking for two adults to join its mission of advocating for youth by providing them the opportunity to learn, lead, and serve through community outreach, service projects, and establishing youth-adult partnerships.

Interested candidates must live in the city limits of Brighton and attend two meetings a month on the first and third Thursdays at 5 p.m. Occasionally there will be additional meetings that adults are asked to attend, but prior notice is always provided.

The BYC is made up of 22 youth and six adults all together. The two adults who join the commission will be joined by two other community members, a City Council member and a School District 27J representative. These six adults will work alongside the youth commissioners to make positive change in Brighton.

If you’re unable to donate your time to the BYC but want to help make it successful, it is always accepting donations to help support our projects and help us continue to build leadership skills and create a larger impact on the community.

If you’re interest in filling one of these two positions available, or want more information contact Tawnya Russell at 303-655-2123 or
