KBRI-8, Brighton’s community television channel, now in high-definition

The City of Brighton’s television channel is now available in high-definition (HD) to some residents. KBRI-8 provides our community with live city council meetings, local special events, featured issues, arts, cultural, and educational programming.

Comcast customers in the Brighton service area can view the city’s HD programming by turning to channel 881, if they have an HD subscription. This upgrade became available on Tuesday, June 5. KBRI-8 is also still available to Comcast customers in standard-definition (SD) by turning to channel 8.

High-definition provides a clearer picture for viewers because it has more pixels per square inch of the images you see on your TV, thus making the videos more clear and of a higher quality than standard definition.

The city’s programming is available from virtually anywhere for both residents with and without Comcast services. Remember, KRBI-8 is always streaming live on the city’s website, and the video productions from our staff are also available 24/7 on KBRI-8’s YouTube channel too.
