The City of Brighton’s 2018 Street Preservation Project will
begin construction the first week of May. Work will begin on Main Street north
of Bromley Lane and will continue at designated areas until mid-November.
During the six months, the following locations will see street maintenance
Street, north of Bromley Lane
Road, 136th Avenue to Platte River Blvd
Lane, Chambers to S. 27th Avenue
portion of Brighton Crossing Fil. No. 1 neighborhood
Work will consist of seal coats, spot repairs and patching,
crack seal, and striping. The seal coats preserve the existing structure of the
roadway, like a protective coating, and provide a wearing course on the
surface. Both traffic control and signs will be in put in all work zones.
During construction, alternate routes are advised, however
there will be access to all driveways for residents. The contractor, A-1
Chipseal, Inc., will be providing door hangers on front doors of impacted
properties as well as hanging no parking signs.
We advise our traveling public to be safe when near a
construction and follow these guidelines:
- Reduce speeds
- Use caution
- Keep a safe distance from
construction equipment and workers
