Brighton City Manager Manuel Esquibel announced today the resignation of Jim Landeck, Brighton’s Utilities Director effective Monday, March 3. Landeck started working for the City of Brighton in June 2006 as Assistant Public Works Director. He was promoted to Utilities Director in October 2008.Prior to coming to Brighton, Landeck was Town Administrator for the Town of Hudson and worked for the City of Northglenn as Public Works Director and then City Manager.
“Jim’s skills and knowledge has been a huge asset to the city’s Utilities Department and his hard work over the years is to be commended,” City Manager Esquibel said. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
The City will be conducting a national search to fill the Utility Director position. In the interim, Police Chief Clint Blackhurst will continue as acting director.
