Brighton Municipal Court will be participating in the Adams County “Fresh Start Day” on Friday, May 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Adams County Justice Center (1100 Judicial Center Drive) in Brighton. Adams and Broomfield counties are part of Colorado’s 17th Judicial District.
If a defendant has an outstanding warrant in Adams County, they may qualify to appear and have that warrant canceled. Defendants should appear in-person, and will have the opportunity to speak with the prosecutor and judge virtually regarding a possible resolution of their matter.
The following charges will be considered:
Low-Level, Non-Violent Misdemeanors and Traffic Offenses
Probation Violation Warrants Not Listed Below
Class 5 and 6 Non-Violent Felonies
These charges will NOT be eligible:
No Victims' Rights Amendment Cases or Domestic Violence
No Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender
No Sex Offenses
No Out of County Warrants
No Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 Felonies
