Brighton Police Partner With FBI to File Charges for Robbery of First National Bank

The FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the Brighton Police Department have filed charges against 29-year-old Cedric John Solano of Pueblo, Colorado, for the robbery of First National Bank in Brighton.

The robbery occurred on Nov. 2, 2022 (see News Release #22-10). The Adams County District Attorney’s Office has issued a warrant after accepting the filing of one charge of aggravated robbery, a class 3 felony. Solano is currently housed in the Pueblo County Jail on unrelated charges and will be extradited to Adams County upon release.

“We are so grateful for the FBI Safe Streets' involvement in this investigation. This is an example of how partnership and collaboration can lead to a great result,” said Brighton Police Department Investigations Commander Justin Moore. “I want the citizens to know that we will use all relationships and resources available to seek out justice. I hope the victims in this case find some measure of comfort knowing that this offender has been identified and charged.”

The Brighton Police Department is proud of the work done by its officers, detectives, and the work of the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. The filing of formal charges against a defendant is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
