[ARCHIVED] ARTfest at The Armory seeking artists for “Holiday Splendor”

ARTfest at The Armory Holiday Splendor

The City of Brighton’s community art show ARTfest will be presenting the “Holiday Splendor” exhibit from November 18, 2022 through January 18, 2023 at The Armory Performing Arts Center located at 300 Strong Street.

Local artists who would like to showcase their artwork can drop off their art at The Armory on Thursday, Nov. 17 from 1 - 4 p.m. A fee of $5 per artist for two entries (payable by cash or check to “BCAC”) will be due at drop off. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the show is full. Each artist will be limited to two pieces.

Work must be appropriately framed and wired for wall mounting. Clip-framed work is not acceptable. No saw tooth hangers. Gallery wrapped canvas with no exposed staples or tacks will be accepted only if it is properly wired for hanging and all exposed canvas is painted. Artwork is limited to 50 pounds. Attach a label to the back of each piece with your name, phone, artwork title, medium and price (no commission is taken, NFS is allowed).

Previous ARTfest artwork can be picked up at The Armory on Nov. 17.

The show is sponsored by the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission and The Armory Performing Arts Center. Partial funding is provided by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.

For more information, visit the ARTfest web page or contact Sandie Mackenzie at 303-659-5400 or David Gallegos at 303-655-2176. To confirm viewing hours at The Armory, please call 303-655-2026.
