To help support a more sustainable environment, three new ChargePoint stations have been installed in the City of Brighton and are now active for electric vehicle (EV) charging use. The stations are located at the Brighton Recreation Center (555 N. 11th Avenue), Eagle View Adult Center (1150 Prairie Center Parkway) and Platte Valley Medical Center (1610 Prairie Center Pkwy.). At each of these locations, there are two stalls and two charging stations. Similar to how a parking meter operates, the hourly rate for charging is $2 per hour with the first hour being free.
“At the City of Brighton, sustainability is one of our top strategic focus areas,” said Christopher Montoya, Assistant Director of Public Works. “These additional EV charging sites support that goal and expand access for our residents, commuters and visitors to help make that happen.”
