On Tuesday, December 21, Brighton City Council voted 5-1 (5 in favor, 1 against, 1 abstention, and 1 absence) to appoint Clint Blackhurst to fill the vacated Ward 3 Council seat. The position became vacant after former City Council member Kris Jordinelli submitted his resignation on Dec. 3.
Blackhurst is finishing his current term (January 2018 - January 2022) as one of two Ward 3 Council representatives. Replacing Blackhurst’s position will be Jan Pawlowski.
Blackhurst will be sworn-in alongside Mayor-elect Gregory Mills and other elected City Council members at the January 4, 2022 City Council meeting to be held at 6 p.m. at the Armory Performing Arts Center (300 Strong Street, Brighton).
