The City of Brighton is excited to announce its inaugural Name that Snowplow contest! Elementary school students in Brighton are invited to submit their best and most creative name ideas for the city’s 9 snowplows for the 2021-2022 snow season. 

Students grades K-5 can submit their best names at www.brightonco.gov/snowplowcontest by Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. Winners will have an opportunity to take a photo with the snowplow they named and be recognized at a City Council meeting. 

Additionally, the contest winners will have an opportunity to ride alongside the snowplows they named during the city’s annual Festival of Lights parade (weather permitting). 

Winners will be notified by Nov. 30.
