The City of Brighton’s Growing Grads College and Career Readiness Kickoff is set to return in-person on Wednesday, September 15 at The Armory Performing Arts Center from 5:30 - 8 p.m. High school juniors, seniors and parents are encouraged to attend and explore post-secondary options.
“After hosting our last college fair remotely, we are so excited to bring back this one in-person,” said Tawnya Russell, Manager of Youth Services. “This kickoff is a great way to help prepare students for that next step and we hope this in-person setting will help get questions answered and new opportunities discovered.”
Colleges, trade schools and other programs that will be in attendance include Western Colorado University, Emily Griffith Technical College, Spartan College (aviation and technology), Front Range Community College, Universal Technical Institute and Independent Electrical Contractors - Rocky Mountain (IECRM) and more.
Presentations on how to pay for college, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), will be available in English and Spanish.
The kickoff is free to attend. Participants will need to register at brightonco.gov/growinggrads.
COVID-19 guidelines at the time will apply.
