Share your message of love at Carmichael Park this Valentine’s Day! On the City of Brighton’s first-ever ValenSign’s Day, the public is invited to personalize a message to be printed on heart-shaped signs that will be placed at Carmichael Park (650 E. Southern St.) for park visitors to see.
“The idea behind ValenSign’s Day is simply to spread love,” said Gary Montoya, Events and Downtown Initiative Manager. “The pandemic has continued to be tough on so many in our community. That’s why we want to provide a way for our community to share their feelings of love and hope, especially on a holiday like Valentine’s Day.”
City staff will place the heart-shaped messages in the park on the days leading up to Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14.
If you are interested in participating, you can purchase a sign for $10 to customize a message. To purchase a message sign, go to www.brightonco.gov/1572/ValenSigns-Day. The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 5.
If you have questions, please contact Gary Montoya, Events and Downtown Initiative Manager, at gmontoya@brightonco.gov or 303-655-2217.
