The public and local business owners are invited to attend the Founders Plaza (located on Main and Bridge Streets) Phase II Information Gathering Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 6-7 p.m. Members of the City’s Parks & Recreation staff and Norris Design will be in attendance to gather public input for this next phase of the project. Attendees must adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures.
Phase II will look at additional features, like options for a pour-in-place rubber play area for kids with climbing boulders, a possible performance area for street performers, a space for activities such as a large Christmas tree and an area for kids to visit Santa, a covered picnic table area, added plantings, festoon lighting, and more.
This phase follows the May completion of phase 1 of Founders Plaza, which included landscaping, planting shrubs and trees, irrigation for plants, decorative concrete, planters, and installation of benches.
Pre-registration online is required to attend the meeting: https://www.brightonco.gov/FormCenter/Founders-Plaza-Phase-II-Information-Gath-26/Founders-Plaza-Phase-II-Information-Gath-100
For individuals who would like to leave feedback online, an e-survey will be available next week.
