The City of Brighton encourages businesses to apply for the new Business Water and Sewer Grant. Funding for the grant comes from the federal CARES Act and provides up to $9,000 in one-time assistance for water and sewer payments to businesses that have faced significant negative financial impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant will be applied directly as a credit on the business’ water and sewer account.
To qualify for the Business Water and Sewer Grant, you must meet the following criteria:
Be a current City of Brighton water customer
Be licensed and in good standing on the City sales tax (for businesses within City limits only)
Be registered with the Colorado Secretary of State
Demonstrate that you are experiencing financial difficulty due to the COVID-19 pandemic
These are federal funds passed through via the CARES Act and are subject to federal reporting and eligibility requirements. The deadline to submit an application is Aug. 14, 2020.
