The City of Brighton is seeking community input for the Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update through a new online engagement website. A survey and other input opportunities are available at https://planbrightonparksandrecreation.com/. The survey consists of a series of questions regarding the City’s parks, recreation facilities and amenities, open spaces, and trails.
The online engagement website provides the Parks and Recreation Department another form of feedback after its citywide virtual public forum on July 8. The City encourages residents, business owners, special interest groups, and any other interested parties to participate to help plan the future goals and objectives of parks and recreation in Brighton.
In addition to the survey, there are interactive feedback functions on the website. Individuals can use a map to pin and provide comments on trails needing connections and on parks and open spaces needing improvements. Community members can also leave recommendations for youth-specific activities and on how to enhance the rich agricultural history in the City.
This input window closes on July 30.
