Brighton police are attempting to locate the driver of a semi-truck that was involved in a rollover crash on northbound Highway 85 near 144th Ave. just after 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8.

Video of the crash obtained by police shows the vehicle that rolled, a dark green 1996 Ford Ranger, struck the right rear tires of a gravel truck just before the pickup swerved, veered off the right side of the roadway, and rolled. Police believe the driver of the gravel truck may have been unaware of their involvement when they left the scene of the crash. The gravel truck was described as a white semi-tractor hauling a black side-dump gravel trailer, and was travelling in the inside (left) lane through lane of northbound Highway 85 near 144th Avenue at the time of the crash.

Anyone with information about the gravel truck, its owner, or the person who may have been operating it at the time of the crash is asked to contact Officer Slagle at (720) 685-7334, or by email at lslagle@brightonco.gov.
