[ARCHIVED] Brighton Recreation Center adds group fitness classes to summer offerings

The Brighton Recreation Center has added live in-person group fitness classes to its summer 2020 offerings. Reservations are required for the classes to give instructors time to prepare for class size and accommodation. Please reserve your slot one hour before a class starts. Drop-ins will be allowed if a class meets attendance requirements of at least one participant before the one-hour cut-off time (classes will not run if no one has signed up). The maximum number of participants permitted is 10 people for the fitness studio and five people for the cycling room. To make a class reservation, download the Brighton Recreation App, sign-up on the Rec Center’s website, or call the facility’s front desk at 303-655-2200.

Cycling:

        Mondays - 6 a.m.

        Tuesdays - 7:30 a.m. 

        Wednesdays - 8 a.m. 

        Thursdays - 9 a.m.

Water fitness:

        Wednesdays:

                BOGA - 12 p.m. (spots are limited)

Aerobics (max. 10 people allowed)

        Mondays:

                Bodycombat - 8 a.m. (outside)

                Bodypump - 9 a.m. (fitness studio) 

        Tuesdays:

                Yoga - 7:30 a.m. (outside)

                Bodycombat - 8 a.m. (fitness studio) 

        Wednesdays:

                Barre - 8 a.m. (fitness studio)

                Bodypump - 6 p.m. (fitness studio) 

        Thursdays: 

                Tone - 8 a.m. (fitness studio) 

                Dance Jam - 6 p.m. (fitness studio)

        Fridays:

                Hatha Yoga - 7:30 a.m. (outside)

                Body Pump - 9 a.m.  (fitness studio) 

Please note: For group classes held in the fitness studio, equipment that has been sanitized will be provided. For classes held outside, participants will be responsible for bringing their own equipment. Class descriptions in the app have been updated to notify what equipment is necessary to bring. 

State guidelines of social distancing will apply. Masks will be required inside the Rec Center facility (except for those under two years old and people with a disability), but are optional if outside the building. People can also attend virtual fitness classes online on the Brighton Recreation app.
