[ARCHIVED] Coronavirus (COVID-2019) Updates

CoronaVirus

COVID-2019 (Coronavirus)

The City of Brighton staff continues to be in communication with local health partners, Tri-County Health Department (TCHD), and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regarding the 2019 Coronavirus disease (COVID-2019).

Adams County moves from Level Red: Severe Risk to Level Orange: High Risk

Effective Monday, January 4, 2021 -- Due to a sustained decrease in COVID-19 positive cases and hospitalizations throughout the State of Colorado, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has moved the all counties currently operating within the Red Level: Severe Risk restrictions back to Level Orange: High Risk. The move to Level Orange indicates an improvement throughout the state to contain the virus. Among the restriction changes in Level Orange are permitting indoor dining up to 25-percent capacity or 50 people (whichever is less), allowing personal gatherings up to 10 people and increasing gym capacity from 10 to 25-percent. Read more here.

Vaccination

Click here for a county by county breakdown of where vaccination in Colorado is currently available. Because vaccine supplies are limited, not all phase 1A and 1B recipients will have access to the vaccine at the same time. The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment is working to coordinate with local public health agencies, health care providers, pharmacies, and diverse community partners to distribute the vaccine as equitably and efficiently as possible.

Face Coverings

The July 16 statewide mandate requiring face coverings has been extended until Jan. 6, 2021. It may continue to be extended if necessary. Per the mandate, Coloradans 11 years and older to wear a covering over their noses and mouths when entering or moving within any public indoor space. This mandate excludes people 10 years and younger or those who can’t medically tolerate a face covering.
