The City of Brighton has started the search for its next City Manager and is taking applications for the position recently advertised. The ideal candidate would be an outstanding leader and manager with a demonstrated track record of achievement. He or she would be someone who has demonstrated skills in management, finance, development, and have experience with intergovernmental relations.
To be eligible, a candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or public policy or a related field and seven to 10 years of experience as a senior level government or private sector executive. The salary range is $190,000 to $230,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Applications will be screened between June 6 and July 6. Finalists will be selected on July 7. Interviews will be held on July 17. A selection will be made shortly after.

On April 21, City Council voted to hire executive recruiting firm Colin Baenziger & Associates to conduct the nationwide search for the city manager position. Marv Falconburg has been serving as acting city manager since July 2019.
