Located at the southeast corner of South 27th Avenue and Eagle Boulevard, one of Brighton’s newest additions to housing options, Avilla at Prairie Center, is nearing its final phases of construction. Initial permits, including Erosion Sediment Control and Site Improvement, were issued at the end of 2018, and building was able to begin in mid-2019. The residences join other housing options in the area, including Elements at Prairie Center apartments and The Villages at Prairie Center.
The development is planned for 136 units, of which 40 are 1-bedroom duplexes, 55 are 2-bedroom detached units, and 41 are 3-bedroom detached units, each available in Craftsman, Farmhouse, and Prairie styles. The site emphasizes outdoor areas for its residents, with front porches and backyards for each unit as well as common open spaces throughout the 12-acre development. The streetscapes prioritize home aesthetics and connectivity with the absence of attached garages, which are instead located in separate clusters of designated parking areas. Such housing options allow smaller households the opportunity to have a sense of individualized space not usually available in denser residential developments.
