On Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 the city will be accepting unused Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items at our drive-through drop-off location at the Brighton Police Department, 3401 E Bromley Ln.
Community members and businesses are encouraged to donate items between 1-5 p.m. on either day. Volunteers will be on-site to assist in taking PPE items from individual vehicles to help maintain safety and practice social distancing.
Please be advised, only the following list of unused items will be accepted:
Sterile and non-sterile gloves - latex-free preferred, all sizes
Hand sanitizer
Bleach bottles or sprays
Bleach wipes
Isopropyl alcohol
Eye protection and goggles
Clear face shields - These look like welders mask but are translucent
Masks - tie, earloop
Respirator masks - N95, N99, P100 - all sizes. Extra filters are also needed for these devices.
PAPR respirators - 3M or MaxAir; hoods, filters, batteries, chargers, tubes to go with these units are also needed.
Disposable gowns - isolation gowns, Tyvek
Shoe covers
Biohazard bags
Unaccepted items include:
Used or opened PPE items
Clothing new or used
Food of any kind
Water
Cash donations
Please use the south entrance of the parking lot at Brighton PD when dropping off PPE items to donate. Donors will be met by volunteers at their vehicle to accept donations.
