Did you know the City of Brighton sends more than 1 billion gallons of safe drinking water per year to its customers? Join us for a tour of our water treatment facility and learn where your water comes from, how it is treated and how it gets to your home. This tour will give you a first-hand look at the city's Reverse Osmosis Treatment Plant and the Greensand Filter Plant and provide an important educational experience of the water treatment process.
The tours will be available on the following dates:
- Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 1-2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 3 from 9-10:30 a.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Tours are limited to 10 people per session and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up at www.brightonco.gov/watertours or call 303-655-2061. Tour participants will meet at Brighton City Hall, located at 500 S. 4th Ave., and be transported to and from the water treatment facility. Participants should wear appropriate footwear - closed-toe shoes with flat heels.
