Funshine Summer Camp registration begins Feb. 7

The Brighton Recreation Center will open registration for its Funshine Summer Camp at 7 a.m. Feb. 7. A camp director will be available from 7 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. to answer any camp questions.


Brighton Funshine Summer Camp is a state-licensed summer day program offered to children ages six through 12. The camp runs June 3 through July 26, Monday through Friday at South Elementary School, 305 S. 5th Ave., Brighton. Weekly activities include swimming at the Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park, games, crafts, sports, and more. Weekly field trips are also planned.


There are two tiers of programming for the Camp:


  • Regular hours are 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m., $800 per child

  • Extended hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., $1,110 per child

 

Registration is available in person only at the Brighton Recreation Center. Registration forms and the required immunization form can be found online at: http://www.brightonco.gov/738/Registration-Information. Forms are also available at the Brighton Recreation Center front desk. All forms must be filled out completely in order to register for the program.


There is a $100 per child non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration. The Funshine program allows families to either pay the full camp fee at the time of registration or split payments over the course of five weeks, with the final payment due May 7. The program cost includes all field trips, transportation, daily activities and a Funshine T-shirt.
