The City of Brighton announces a call for artists for its “Tantalizing Summer Perspectives” art show. Brighton celebrates with a summer to fall art show with this open-theme show.
Artist submittals are being accepted now through May 16 for this show which is slated to run June 16 to October 3 at Brighton’s City Hall building, located at 500 S. 4th Ave.
Artwork from local and regional artists is selected by committee for display throughout Brighton City Hall for a 16-week period of time. Artwork may include, but is not limited to: oils, watercolors, charcoal, graphite, photography, mixed media and sculpture of various media and theme.
The Eye for Art program provides new, emerging and established artists with a high-traffic location for their artwork. As part of the program, active participating Eye for Art artists who submit for public display and their work is available for purchase may be considered for permanent acquisition through the program when funding becomes available. The Eye for Art committee meets to review and recommend any of the yearly displayed artwork to be acquired for permanent placement within the city each year.
Artists not already registered as an artist or art group are asked to register and retrieve submittal forms at the “Call for Artist Interest” link at the City of Brighton website at: www.brightonco.gov/401/Eye-for-Art-Program
